Join Brittany McNamara, Maker-in-Residence, for this all-ages program that will talk about various costume-making techniques for kids. She will have some costumes on display and will incorporate a hands-on component for participants to try out an element of costume-making. Parental supervision is required. /

Venez rencontrer la maker en résidence, Brittany McNamara, dans le cadre de ce programme pour participants de tout âge qui porte sur diverses techniques pour la confection de costumes pour enfants. Our festival grew to over 30,000 people last year. The festival schedule is packed with great entertainment, food and friendly people. There is NO cost for any of the daytime children / family entertainment. For the adults, the evening entertainment will be at an all-time great this year. Let’s not forget the colorful display of fireworks let off by the Kin Club of Valley East to close the festival, and the free glow sticks given to children and youth to light up the night in celebration of another great weekend. Come and celebrate Valley East Days with a community bike ride - suitable for all ages and abilities! Registration starts at 9:30 at the Greater Sudbury Public Library/Citizen Centre at 4100 Elmview Drive in Hanmer. Riders can join us for the following rides: 1. Families with younger children: 5.3 km   2. Novice/beginners: 12 km   3. Intermediate: 28 km   4. Advanced: 66 km

Please check your bike out to make sure it's road-worthy and bring water for the ride. Note that helmets are mandatory for this bike ride.

Concerts will be held in the atrium and other spaces in this beautiful building will serve as play stations and workshops for kids.
