1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Solar Eclipse Viewing at Anderson Farm.
Join us on Monday at the Anderson Farm Museum in the Stable to:
- View a partial solar eclipse with special glasses (**RSVP to reserve your glasses!**)
- Learn about this eclipse and other solar eclipses in Greater Sudbury over the past 100 years!
- Watch a live stream of NASA’s footage of the eclipse in the United States, where a total eclipse will occur.
The eclipse begins just after 1:00PM, reaches its maximum at 2:25PM, and is over at 3:40PM.
Remember: You should never look at the sun directly (including during an eclipse!) without equipment that's specifically designed for looking at the sun. Even using binoculars or a telescope, you could severely damage your eyes or even go blind! Sunglasses do NOT count. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times at this event!

3:30 PM - 5:00 PM Minnow Lake Pop-Up Produce Market

This summer, the Sudbury & District Good Food Box Program will be applying its model for affordable fresh produce to a traveling pop-up market! The ‘Good Food Box MARCHÉ de la boîte de bonne bouffe’ will make short, regular tops in select residential neighbourhoods that are underserved by grocery stores. Funded through the Healthy Kids Community Challenge, the Good Food Box MARCHÉ de la boîte de bonne bouffe is working with the Best Start Hubs and the Sudbury & District Health Unit to identify market locations where children and families often gather, and where grocery store access is limited.
