Description

Calling all youth in Grades 5 to 8!  You’re invited to join Healthy Kids Partners for free drop-in active fun at gyms and facilities across the City! Friendly staff will be on hand to help organize a range of activities based on your interests.  Try new sports, games and activities, as well as familiar favourites. Equipment, instruction, nutritious snacks, friendship and fun will all be part of the mix as we challenge Greater Sudbury to Activate Grades 5 to 8!

Drop-in for Free Weekly Active Fun

The Healthy Kids Community Challenge wants to make sure that kids in our community have lots of opportunities for healthy active fun. As they enter the teen years, Healthy Kids wants to support kids to build independence, learn new skills, make friends and connect with community programs designed for them.

Healthy Kids is sponsoring CGS Youth Centres, the YMCA and other Healthy Kids Partners to hold free weekly drop-in active fun sessions at gyms and facilities across the City. Friendly staff will be on hand to help organize a range of activities based on the interests of this age group.  Kids will have the chance to try new sports, games and activities as well as familiar favourites: basketball, hip hop dance, hiking, floor hockey, yoga, skateboarding, pickleball, dodgeball and more!

Equipment, instruction, nutritious snacks, friendship and fun will all be part of the mix as we challenge the community to Activate Grades 5 to 8!

Please note that this is not a child care program.  Registered participants will be able to sign themselves in and out of this program. Parents/guardians are encouraged to consider whether their child is mature enough to participate.

Please complete and sign this program registration form and submit it the first time your child visits. Offered by Our Children Our Future? nos enfants notre avenir.
