Join us at Downe Playground for Stay and Play

"Stay and Play" is a weekly time at a neighbourhood playground when families will be encouraged to come and spend quality time together, with their neighbours, to enjoy all the fun the playground has to offer.

Stay and Play is not a structured program. A host will be on site to keep the playground building open for washrooms and water, and will have equipment that families can use to start their own games and activities. Equipment like sports equipment, balls, skipping ropes, pylon, pinnies, hoops, chalk, even a portable music speaker will be on hand to borrow.

Kids and families can get together to have a family soccer or basketball game, learn to skip double dutch, set up an obstacle course, or even have a dance party. Or kids can play together while parents socialize with their neighbours.

The park is open and we hope your family will come to Stay and Play!
