Description

The Pedagogical Support Internship – Pedagogical support program has been designed to mentor individuals in promoting and supporting ongoing professional reflection that facilitate the transfer of new knowledge into practice.   The primary goal of the program is to support the development of pedagogical leadership skills of participating individuals so that they can in turn provide leadership and mentor colleagues in aligning their practice with the Ministry of Education`s vision for early learning programs.

The Pedagogical Support Internship offers support and mentorship to a small group of individuals in developing and supporting a study group on pedagogical leadership for a selected group of educators in the community.

The program for the study group has been divided into focussed subjects to provide a framework for discussions and reflections.  Each subject has a pedagogical focus, taking into consideration the four foundations for learning, and includes further reflections to consider in the workplace.

The participants of the Pedagogical Support Internship will be responsible for the organisation and facilitation of the biweekly study group sessions and related workshops.

The following is a general overview of the subjects for the study group:

Subject 1 – Values and beliefs for early learning programs and professionals
