City of Greater Sudbury - Children’s Services Section / LPRF / Job Posting Closing- Closing Nov. 14

As part of our Local Poverty Reduction Fund program, Children Services is running specialized weekly after- school programs for Grade 5 children at 8 schools in three neighbourhoods (Donovan Flour Mill on Tuesdays/ Hanmer on Wednesdays and Chelmsford on Thursdays). We are looking for awesome, experienced staff to lead these programs and we think that EarlyON/Child Care staff who are interested/able in work a few extra hours per week (after 3:00 pm) would be perfect candidates for the job.

It is a general posting so doesn't describe the job very well but basically we are looking for staff with ECE, Education, Child and Youth Worker backgrounds who are energetic and able to support kids to have fun and learn new skills. Mentoring and Social Skills Development Liaison Intern

The Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury is seeking a self-motivated, results orientated individual to fill the position of Mentoring and Social Skills Development Liaison Intern in Sudbury, Ontario, commencing December 1, 2018.

Successful candidates should be a university or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university that has not yet worked in the field of learning disabilities. 

Job Description: Candidate will assist with current programming to support children and youth with learning disabilities by: Contributing to content development to enhance and facilitate our social skills program for children in grades 4 to 6 including program evaluation; Assisting program leader with our coaching program for students in grades 6 to 10; and Assisting with our youth ambassador program to host activities to raise awareness of the organization as well as to engage youth in our community.
